How the ultra-lightweight TR material eyeglass frames are made.

Eyeglass frames are classified by material in three main categories: metal, plastic, and natural materials. Among them are the mainstream of plastic materials and TR, PV, and plate these categories. The TR we are talking about today is a memory polymer material, also known as “memory plastic,” which is currently the most popular and most used ultra-light frame material internationally. Natural materials such as horn rimmed glasses and tortoiseshell glasses are rarely used; most of them are artificial materials.

Main features
1, light: TR material is most important feature is light; that is, we often see the advertising that 8 grams of heavy glasses, is this material, wear really more comfortable.
2, good elasticity is not easy to deform: very resistant to extrusion.
3, there are fruit-colored, transparent, bright colors, frosted textures, and wide varieties suitable for all ages and people.
4, the material itself also has some differences; there are domestic materials, and there are also imported materials. Imported materials are generally Korean materials. At present, the material imports still have some obvious advantages, such as the color of the traditional TR frame is colorless transparent, you see the color is sprayed on later, this process over time will layer off the paint, spray paint process almost frame surface will also blister. The color of Korean material is available in its original color, without spray paint.

Main Process
The production of the TR mirror frame is mainly mold pouring. The raw material is heated, poured into a ready-made mold, extruded into shape by machine, and then polished, painted, and assembled.
Of all the manufacturing methods of eyeglasses, the TR frame manufacturing process machine involvement in the composition is the highest, and manual involvement is the lowest, so the manufacturing cost is low, and the price is relatively low, even if it is made of imported materials.

Don’t believe the advertising slogans of what is all handmade; that is the business propaganda words, glasses manufacturing, as long as it is not TR material, more than 80% of the process must be done by hand, so the manufacturing cost of such goods as glasses is a large part of the manual cost. The more expensive the glasses, the finer the handwork, such as the processing accuracy of each connection part; you can look at the hidden part or screws and another processing accuracy.

So how is a pair of quality TR glasses produced?

Of course, first of all, the design and positioning should be clear, such as the main users of this frame is what age, occupation, and other characteristics, so as to determine whether the material is imported, whether the color of the material or late spraying, spraying process is referred to high standards or low standards, these points are determined by the service life of the frame, especially wear how long not to lose paint.
Then the ear hook part of the back of the leg is not designed to be adjusted, generally speaking, low-grade TR frame and the leg is designed as a one-time pressure molding; the advantage is that the process is fewer precision requirements are not high, low cost, the disadvantage is that the ear hook part of the leg can not be adjusted, if the customer wears glasses loose to slide, there is no way.
For and high-end TR mirror leg in the pressure mold, we will add a steel wire in the tail, and then after the completion of the pressure mold, but also add a pair of the tail sleeve so that the end of the mirror leg can be adjusted to the degree of bending, for example, in the customer glasses slide, then adjust the degree of bending here, hook the ear, so that the glasses will not slide. The latter processing requirements are much higher because of the steel wire pressure mold to clamp on the central axis of the lens leg; the equipment and manual processing accuracy requirements of the two grades higher, and the follow-up process and support also increased a lot.
Other is the installation of some small accessories, hinges, screws on the assembly, etc.; these materials are also more delicate; in general, these accessories can be used for some cheap goods, but also with high-grade goods.
